Edited for TV

One of my favorite movies is Amerian History X. I can only rarely watch it, though because it is just really painful to watch. There are a couple of scenes that make me physically ache when I watch them. The scene where Edward Norton kills the guy and the scene in the shower. I also bawl at the end. As far as I know, it isn't usually shown on network TV, I suspect because it is REALLY violent. Yet either Spike or TNT is getting ready to show it sometime soon. I can't help but wonder how much will have to be edited out to make it okay for that channel.

Unrelated, or only barely related to TV, why do people think that thing where you hang upside down and cover up the nose and mouth of a person and put eyeballs on the chin and hair think that's funny or clever? I find it kind of creepy. (Sponsored by an Oreo cookie commercial.)

I've never seen the movie...but am watching it now! It's one of those movies I've always been a bit afraid to watch. My induction to it may do well censored.
