When I was a little girl The Velveteen Rabbit really screwed me up. (Although I KNOW the bunny gets to become a real bunny.) I really felt like my toys knew if I wasn't playing with them and would feel bad if I didn't.* If either of the Toy Story movies (especially #2 actually) had been out at the time it would've been worse.
*The worst part? Sometimes I still feel like that. :)

me too! if i'm cleaning and i find a stuffed bear under a pile of clothes i'll alwyas apologize.
I used to think that they would feel bad if I didn't sleep with all of them or if I treated one like a favorite...it is very hard growing up with guilt.
