A pedestrian word problem

Person A has an event at which she needs to catch the bus to at 6 PM. The bus stop she needs is about 2 blocks away from Person A's office. Person A gets off work at 4:30 PM. It is approximately a 20 minute walk from Person A's office to Person A's home (also meaning it is a 20 minute walk from Person A's home to the bus stop Person A needs.) Hence if Person A were to walk home, she would arrive there at about 5:00 and then have to turn around and leave at 5:30 to be sure she caught the bus in time. So. Should Person A

A - Walk home relax for 30 minutes and then go catch the bus.
B - Just hang out at the office playing online games or whatever (nap) until 6 PM
C - Say screw the whole event. (But it is bbq and an appreciation event so Person A might be appreciated).

If I were person A, I would stay at work with the honest intention of going to said event, but go home before 5 PM and say screw it.

I'm sorry, I couldn't get past "Person A has an event at which she needs to catch the bus to at 6pm."

Snicker.
