Sandals

I need a new pair of sandals. What kind do any of you recommend? Before you recommend here are 3 limitations - 1 I have weird feet issues so they must have a slight heel, but not too high (per my physical therapist). 2 - I must have backs on them I don't like slides. 3 - I need them in brown. NOW what kind do you recommend? :)

Ooh so far some of those look good! Michelle has pointed out that in my descriptor of #2 I am unclear. I just mean that I need a strap of sort to hold my shoe on. It doesn't have to be an actual back, just something across the heel. I don't like slippy shoes.

I'm out too, but I could use a new pair myself.

My favorite topic!
Unfortunately, you don't have many options if you need a back because then you aren't really talking about sandals anymore.

Check these out:

They're expensive, but this brand is known for comfort.

How 'bout these?

And, depending on what you want to wear them with, you might also consider a slingback that has the feel of spring/summer without truly being a sandal.

Maybe this one?

Combine the slingback with a peeptoe and now you're really ready for spring! Is two inches too high for a heel?

Little does Sheesh know that we have already been through the entire Dansko catalog.

Ugh. I'm a firm believer that shoes come in two categories: cute or comfortable. It's impossible for shoes to be both cute and comfortable. You have to sacrifice one for the other. Typically, I sacrifice the comfort. :P

Joanne, just walk through DSW and try lots of pairs on. That's really the best way to find new shoes.

Oh, Sheesh, that's so not true! I have shoes that fall safely into both categories. Honest.

Jo, I'd love to help you out, but I'm strongly adverse to anything brown. Red, we can talk.

Robin, I had forgotten the wonder that is Sierra Trading Post. I used to get stuff from them all the time when I lived in Alaska. I'm definitely checking them out!

KTP, why no brown? I was just looking for a casual color that I can wear with things like khaki capris so I figured brown would be good for that.

Sheesh, Thanks for all the links. I'm definitely checking them out too.
